Project description

ARNA (antimicrobial resistance and causes of non-prudent use of antibiotics in human medicine)
The ARNA project, led by NIVEL, aims to contribute to a more prudent use of antibiotics in human medicine in Europe, with a specific focus on the use of non-prescribed antibiotics. The overall aim is to assess the non-prudent use of antibiotics in the European Union (EU) and to encourage policies that lead to a more prudent use of antibiotics.

EUR-HUMAN (EUropean Refugees- HUman Movement and Advisory Network)
EUR-HUMAN is funded through the Third Programme for the Union’s action in the field of health (2014-2020) and aims to enhance the capacity of European member states who accept migrants and refugees in addressing their health needs, safeguard them from risks, and minimize cross-border health risks. This initiative will focus on addressing both the early arrival period and longer-term settlement of refugees in European host countries.

SPIMEU (Determinants of Successful Implementation of Selective Prevention of Cardio-metabolic Diseases Across Europe)
The SPIMEU project, led by NIVEL, aims at contributing to the reduction of cardio-metabolic morbidity and mortality in EU Member States by establishing the feasibility of implementing innovative evidence based selective prevention actions in five EU Member States representing various health care systems. In addition, the SPIMEU project will provide a toolbox for tailoring selective prevention actions in all EU Member States.

I-MOVE+ (Integrated Monitoring of Vaccines in Europe)
I-MOVE+ is a consortium of 26 partners from 15 European Union / European Economic Area Member States. Its goal is to develop a sustainable platform of primary care, hospital and laboratory networks that use  validated  standardised  methods  to  evaluate existing  and  new  vaccines programmes independently from commercial interests.

The study ‘Support for the definition of core competences for healthcare assistants’ (CC4HCA) is funded by the European Commission’s Health Programme 2014 and led by NIVEL. The aim of this study is to explore the interest among all EU Member States of the European Union in developing a common position on the skills, knowledge and competences of health care assistants (HCAs) in Europe. Upon sufficient interest this can be translated in a suggestion for a common training framework (CTF) under the EU Directive on the recognition of Professional Qualifications.
