Prof. Groenewegen is directeur van het NIVEL. Lees hier meer over het NIVEL als organisatie. Naast zijn manangementtaken doet prof. Groenewegen onderzoek naar Europese gezondheidszorgsystemen, naar de rol van verzekeraars en naar zorgprofessionals. Het gezondheidszorgonderzoek in Nederland kan niet los worden gezien van onderzoek in Europees of zelfs mondiaal verband. De lessen die worden getrokken uit gezamenlijk internationaal onderzoek of uit eigen onderzoek over het buitenland, komen ten dienste van het NIVEL-onderzoek in de verschillende onderzoeksdomeinen en onderzoeksprogramma’s maar ook van onze voornaamste 'stake holders', onder meer het ministerie van VWS. Voor een aantal onderzoeksprogramma’s is de NIVEL expertise internationaal reeds bekend, voor andere onderzoeksprogramma’s moet dit nog groeien. Onderzoek met internationaal perspectief gebeurt het meest efficiënt door het uitbouwen van netwerken van internationale contacten en het opzetten van gezamenlijke onderzoeksprojecten. Op korte termijn gaat het NIVEL door met de huidige succesvolle activiteiten: continuering van internationaal vergelijkende studies in de eerstelijnszorg in brede zin; ontwikkelings- en evaluatieprojecten in midden en oost Europa en centraal Azië o.a. als WHO Collaborating Centre en als nieuwe activiteit de agendasetting in Europa voor gezondheidszorgonderzoek. De internationale website is hiervoor een belangrijk uithangbord. |
