As program manager for international research projects I like to stengthen research that fits the research strategy of a researcher. I enable a route trough the complex network of processes that link to research funding and like to simplify this route by showing them the right direction, so they can focus on the scientific content.
I obtained my doctorate in tumorimunology from the Vrije Universiteit van Amsterdam. During my work as a postdoctoral researcher I noticed I like to work on the research funding application and I started working as a grant writer in a commercial company in 2010. I worked there for over 6 years and worked on research funding applications on watertechnology and life sciences. In 2016 I started as a research program manager in the UMCU, mainly in the Orthopaedic department and the strategic focus area Regenerative Medicine and Stems Cells. In the UMCU I worked on every thing that relates to research funding from idea to finishe project, both on content as well as finances. I also work as an expert evaluator for H2020, MCSA-IF and Eurostars.
