My work primarily involves quantitative analysis focussed on answering certain epidemiological questions. Within Nivel this currently means that I work on projects related to both Influenza and RSV. Questions we’re interested in range from the burden of either one of these infections to their timing, or seasonality. Answering these can help to for instance better inform (future) vaccination strategies.
Prior to starting here at Nivel I worked as a Research Assistant at Imperial College London. There, I primarily focused on HIV and several co-infections to assess the benefit of (potential) vaccination campaigns. Currently I continue to work here 1 day a week.
