Consumers and their health care use

The combination of experiences, opinions and expectations of consumers with the primary health care use of these consumers, can be an important source of information to answer varied questions regarding what people know and think about health care and what they actually obtain from their General Physician.
Which actions do consumers undertake in case of complaints and which treatment do they obtain for it from their GP?
What sort of medication do people buy themselves, and what do they get from their GP, and is the combination safe?
To approach consumers from several GPs and collect their health care consumption combined with information from questionnaires.
This research will add to the knowledge about the perspective of consumers related to their actual health care use and thereby answer relevant societal en scientific questions.
