Dementia care for each other -Dementia Registry-

Duration: January 2017 - December 2020

‘Dementia care for each other’ is a quality improvement program aimed at a transition moving towards more tailored and integrated care for people with dementia and their informal caregivers. Health professionals can join this program to support each other in this transition and they also may receive professional advice.
NIVEL leads a workpackage which has the ambition to develop a national dementia registry. This registry a.o. will monitor improvements in dementia care and provide user feedback in order to further improve dementia care. Currently, such a registry and associated feedback system is lacking.
We will use experiences of local initiatives with dementia registries in order to develop a national dementia registry. This registry will entail registries on type and amount of utilisation, costs, and effects of dementia care.
