Primary care makes the difference: changes in the care landscape and use of care

Dutch health care is changing rapidly (increase in people with chronic illness, rising healthcare costs, major policy changes). This study aims to provide insight into how primary care is developing in the light of these changes.
How do the organization of primary care and the cooperation within primary care and with other sectors change?
How does health care use change in primary care?
Are there differences between population groups and between regions?
Desk research, literature review, analysis of healthcare data from the NIVEL Primary Care Data Base, analysis of data from the NIVEL Professions Data Base, surveys of caregivers
The study provides information for adjustment of policy and indicators which may be monitored after completion of the study. The research provides knowledge that the government may use for its system responsibility for health care and stakeholders to feed their own policies.
