Sports and exercise in people with a mild intellectual disability: obstacles and solutions

With this study we aim to gain insight into the extent to which people with a mild intellectual disability do sports and exercise, what they do exactly and whether that fits their needs. We also wish to investigate which bottlenecks and incentives they (have) experienced. The central research question is: What does the sports and physical activity of people with a mild intellectual disability look like?
With the knowledge this provides, awareness can become greater about dealing with the target group of people with a mild intellectual disability, so that they can make better use of the existing supply. And to find directions based on the insights to better serve the target group.
