Theme report Dementia

Duration: August 2017 - December 2017

The number of people with dementia is increasing and at the same time people with dementia need to live on their own for a longer period of time.
A number of key-questions are stated in the theme report dementia that relate to: 1) the incidence and prevalence of dementia; 2) the needs of people with dementia and their informal carers as well as the availability of formal care and support; 3) the societal impact of dementia; 4) the societal impact of policy directed at living longer at home.
For this report various existing and recent information sources will be used.
This report will provide insight into the current state of knowledge and knowledge gaps with respect to the needs of people with dementia and their informal carers, the current availability of care and support and the societal impact of dementia.
