Aim
The aim of this round table is to provide an overview of important recent insights and developments in the domain of health literacy research and policy in Europe. The implications for research, policy and practice will be discussed with the audience.
There will be five short presentations:
1. Quick scan of health literacy developments in Europe in the past five years. Jany Rademakers, PhD, Head research department Nivel, Utrecht, Professor Health literacy and patient participation, CAPHRI, Maastricht University, the Netherlands.
2. Health literacy in Childhood and Adolescence; main consortium findings. Orkan Okan, PhD., Senior researcher, project manager HLCA, University of Bielefeld, Germany.
3. From the Health Literacy Survey Europe (HLS-EU) to Measuring Population and Organizational Health Literacy (M-POHL). Jürgen M. Pelikan, PhD Professor em. sociology (University of Vienna), Director, Competence Center Health
