|Project description||Since 2007 a licensed training program has been established in the Netherlands for practitioners of addiction medicine. In 2019 an advice will be provided about the optimal inflow in this training program based on a (national) workforce planning model.
The research questions concern the current and future capacity of practitioners of addiction medicine, the current and future demand for these specialists, and several developments regarding the work processes that determine the required capacity of practitioners of addiction medicine in the future.
Survey among practitioners of addiction medicine, an analysis of secondary data on specialized addiction care (LADIS and CBS) and the preparation of a workforce planning model to estimate the required inflow in the training of practitioners of addition medicine.
A report that provides an answer to all research questions, including a methodological justification of all analyses and field work activities. A first estimation of the required capacity of practitioners of addiction medicine in the future and the required inflow in training to achieve this.
