Project descriptionThe Dutch model for workforce planning in specialized healthcare is partly based on expert estimations of so-called work process and demand parameters. Associations of medical specialists play an important role in making these estimations. A new, practice-based and validated method for this process of discussing and quantifying these parameters is needed. What is needed to support associations of medical specialists in such a manner that the outcomes of a focus group discussion and the quantification of work process and demand parameters leads to realistic, validated and uniform input for workforce planning in specialized healthcare? Focus group discussions, group decision support and pilots A new method to support associations of medical specialists in estimating the demand parameters of the Dutch model for workforce planning in specialized healthcare. A report that will describe how this method was developed, piloted and validated.
