Research
I am working as a junior researcher within the field of respiratory infectious diseases, working on different projects with an international focus. As part of the GERi and PROMISE project I am doing research on the epidemiology and disease burden of RSV (respiratory syncytial virus). Within these projects I collect worldwide RSV surveillance data. Additionally, I investigate the effect of COVID-19 on the epidemiology of RSV.

Career
During my Masters I have worked on different research projects related to infectious disease epidemiology. I investigated the effect of newborn vaccination on the prevalence of hepatitis B virus in Lao People’s Democratic Republic (PDR). I also looked at the role of asymptomatic infections in the emergence and spread of antimicrobial resistance in gonorrhoea.
