Research

It is my personal mission to support society and policymakers with reliable data, and to bring science and society closer together. Nivel offers the combination of scientific and applied, policy-oriented research that I like to do.

My research interest is in the field of health, well-being and living situation during aging. Our population is aging, which has many consequences: not only do chronic conditions and the demands for care increase, but also the inequality in health and life expectancy between groups in society is growing. In the research program Care Demand of the Chronically Ill and Disabled, we look at the personal experience of people in the target groups and contribute with our research results to the improvement of their living situation and participation. Conducting research with such social value and relevance is a core value for me.

I have a long experience with panel studies and with international comparative research and have in addition worked with various new techniques of data collection and data management. I enjoy to now utilize that experience as a senior researcher in this research program.
