Activities
Currently I am a PhD candidate within the FUTURE-project. The FUTURE project aims at improving the self-medication management among young adults between 12 and 25 years. The FUTURE project is part of the program ‘Patient-centered care’. During my PhD I am focusing on various co-creation strategies, in order to identify the needs and preferences of chronically ill young adults. Implementation research is one of the focus areas of my PhD process and I am currently supporting the process of enrolling the FUTURE-intervention in four Dutch medical centers of the project: AmsterdamUMC, UMCG, Sint Maartenskliniek and MUMC+.

Nivel (and AmsterdamUMC) are my first employers after finishing my bachelor’s and master’s degree. However, during my bachelor studies I have been introduced to conducting research within the Dutch Cancer Institute (IKNL) and I had the opportunity to analyze various health care technologies for elderly at Marga Klompé. Also, I have identified the barriers and facilitators of Norway’s Dementia Plan in Oslo. Next to my studies I have been active as a student-assistant for the projects of my bachelor studies, and I have always enjoyed teaching the course of Life & Science for high-school students. Lastly, I have been active as educational affairs of my study association.
