The objective of this publication is to calculate the age-specific burden of disease for influenza in three countries (the Netherlands, England and Spain). The results of this analysis might be useful in the decision making to extend routine influenza vaccination to new age groups: infants (0-4 year), children (5-14 year) and adults (45-64 year).
