In oktober 2014 brachten Nictiz en het NIVEL voor de tweede keer de eHealthmonitor uit.De eHealth-monitor is een doorlopend landelijk onderzoek, waarin Nictiz en het NIVEL jaarlijks de stand van zaken op het gebied van eHealth in Nederland in kaart brengen. Welke eHealthtoepassingen zijn er beschikbaar voor zorggebruikers, artsen en verpleegkundigen, verzorgenden en praktijkondersteuners en waar maken ze gebruik van? eHealth is het gebruik van ICT, en met name internettechnologie, om gezondheid en gezondheidszorg te ondersteunen of te verbeteren. De eHealth-monitor hanteert een brede opvatting van eHealth, waarbij zowel wordt gekeken naar mogelijkheden voor zowel patiënten als zorgverleners. (aut. ref.)
Second national eHealth monitor measures status of eHealth in the Netherlands.
The eHealth monitor is a yearly survey conducted by Nictiz and NIVEL to measure eHealth adoption by patients and healthcare professionals in the Netherlands. The survey was conducted in 2014 for the second time. Patients are actively using the internet as a source of healthcare information. However, they are not very well aware of the online services that their doctors are offering, like e-consultation or e-appointments. Doctors in the Netherlands are doing well in international comparisons when it comes to the use of electronic healthcare records and healthcare information exchange. When introducing eHealth services, demonstrating added value for all parties involved is an important success factor. (aut. ref.)
