Senior researcher Disasters and Environmental Hazards


Within the Research Program Disasters and Environmental Hazards I participate in various projects. The focus of my work is on the psychosocial health consequences of disasters and crises and the aftercare that is offered to those affected by these disasters and crises.



I obtained my master in development studies at Radboud University Nijmegen in 2008, and my PhD at Tilburg University. Since then, I work as senior researcher at Fier, a national center of expertise and treatment in the field of violence in dependency relationships, and as assistent professor at ReflecT, research institute for flexicurity, labor market dynamics and social cohesion at Tilburg University. Since April 2018 I works as postdoc/senior researcher at Nivel, Netherlands Institute for Healthcare Services Research.
