ECDC-framework contract

Background

The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) is a European Union agency, working to strengthen Europe's defences against infectious diseases by collecting and analysing data, assessing risks, and providing guidance to EU countries on prevention and control of infectious diseases.

Evidence review is crucial for informing decision-making across the full gamut of public health interventions and activities, from assessing the effectiveness of treatments and protective measure, specifying prevalence or incidence rates, establishing the accuracy of laboratory tests, determining risk factors, and designing and evaluating policy.

Aim

The aim of the services provided under this framework will be to support ECDC in developing public health advice and science-based recommendations.

Method

This framework contract would allow ECDC to commission different types of evidence review services about communicable diseases, including systematic reviews (Work Package (WP) 1), rapid systematic reviews (WP2), living systematic reviews (WP3), systematic reviews of reviews (WP4), scoping reviews (WP5), and structured literature reviews (WP6).
