The general aim of this thesis is to further explore end-of-life care for people with intellectual disabilities (ID) from the perspectives of people with ID, relatives, care staff and physicians.
This thesis aims to gain a better understanding in three areas:
1. The care, needs and wishes of people with ID at the end of life.
2. Decision making at the end of life of people with ID.
3. The end-of-life care expertise and training needs of ID care staff.
