Lateral epicondylitis is generally treated with corticosteroid injections or physiotherapy. Dutch clinical guidelines recommend a wait-and-see policy. The efficacy of these approaches was compared. Patients should be properly informed about the advantages and disadvantages of the treatment options for lateral epicondylitis.
